Broken Unity
Connections between seisms and knots. From the former, fractures remain, and from the latter, stillness prevails.
The block divides itself. The once united parts draw apart. Unity is broken and hangs by a thread. Stability becomes precarious and stands the test of reason. I look for the breaking point. Separation is not yet inevitable, a glimmer of hope remains…as conveyed by the ambiguous meaning of the word ‘Unity’ standing both for ‘a state of oneness’ and ‘solidarity’
